AB's Useful Box - NTLDR missing

Can't remember the exact wording of the error message, however, it occurred after first installing Linux, then WinXP, then doing a Linux recovery of Lilo.

The short of it, when building a dual boot system, i.e. Windows and Linux, install Windows first, then install Linux. The Linux install is designed to coexist and looks after the dual boot nicely.

Have built numerous dual boot systems:
Win95 / Linux 2.2.17-21mdk
Win98 / Linux 2.2.17-21mdk
WinNT / Linux
WinXP / Linux Red Hat 2.4.18-3

on each occasion it went without any problems as long as installed Windows then Linux.
