The members of the Greek Orthodox Youth Association of Oakleigh are pleased to announce the release of the publication, "A Guide For Every Orthodox Christian - An Anti-Heretical Manual"

The manual has been prepared in order to assist Orthodox Christians to further understand the Scriptures and to enable them to effectively rebuke heretics on any topic that they may try to distort or misrepresent.

For those who have not had the opportunity to be conversant with the Holy Bible, it is recommended that the manual be used as an aid to gain further understanding and trigger interest in reading and studying the Scriptures, rather than attempt to confront any heretic.

Certain groups of heretics are very well trained/brainwashed and can easily confuse people. For example, the Bibles they use may have been altered. One should not only rely on one’s own understanding but seek the guidance of an experienced spiritual father regarding these crucial matters.

The manual is a translation of the original Greek version kindly prepared by the Brotherhood of "Apolytrosis." Acknowledgment is further given to those who provided their time and effort in translating and preparing the manual.

The manual is divided into chapters, each one focuses on a dogmatic teaching. Each chapter provides the reader with the relevant verses from the Old and New Testament which support our belief in a particular dogmatic teaching, for example, God is Trinity.
